Abstract

This project will develop understanding of how the GB gas network would operate in a system aligned to Future Energy Scenarios (FES) 2025 scenarios for 2050.

  • Biomethane incorporation into the gas mix and injection infrastructure.
  • Development of hydrogen input and utilisation pathways alongside Carbon Capture, Utilisation, and Storage (CCUS) off-take strategies.
  • How outcomes can align with UK and Devolved Administration decarbonisation targets, Climate Change Committee and National Infrastructure and Service Transformation Authority recommendations.
